What it is, and why it matters
The Cimarron Model P is a single-action revolver that faithfully reproduces the 1873 Colt Single Action Army. Chambered most commonly in .45 Colt, it uses a solid steel frame with a case-hardened finish, a six-round revolving cylinder loaded through a side gate, and one-piece walnut grips. Widely regarded as one of the most authentic reproductions of the original Peacemaker, it is popular with Cowboy Action Shooters, collectors and Old West reenactors.
The Model P revives the classic 'Peacemaker' silhouette that defined the American West, with Cimarron working to Colt's original 1873 dimensions to satisfy Cowboy Action shooters demanding period-correct authenticity.
Offered in multiple barrel lengths (4.75", 5.5" and 7.5") and additional chamberings including .357 Magnum, .44 WCF (.44-40) and .38 WCF; a dual-cylinder .45 Colt/.45 ACP option is also produced. Like the original, five rounds should be carried with the hammer down on an empty chamber for safety.
