About
What it is, and why it matters
The Echeverria Izarra is a Spanish blowback semi-automatic pistol chambered in .32 ACP, built in Eibar by Bonifacio Echeverria during the First World War. A Ruby-pattern sidearm derived from John Browning's FN Model 1903, it uses a fixed-barrel straight-blowback action with an internal hammer, single-action trigger, a heel-release detachable box magazine, external extractor, slide grasping grooves and a frame-mounted safety lever. Echeverria was one of the many Basque workshops subcontracted to feed the French Army's enormous wartime demand for inexpensive service pistols. The Izarra name (Basque and Spanish for 'star') and the company's wartime experience became the foundation of the later Star pistol brand.
Bonifacio Echeverria and his brother Julian took over their father Jose Cruz Echeverria's Eibar workshop in 1905 to enter the new semi-automatic pistol trade. Their wartime Izarra 'Ruby' contracts gave the firm the capital and experience that, a few years later, launched the Star marque under which the company became famous.
Izarra-marked pistols typically carry an 'I' inside a circle at the rear of the left frame. An earlier hammerless .25 ACP Izarra was made in small numbers around 1905-1906; the wartime model documented here is the .32 ACP Ruby-pattern pistol of 1914-1921.

What the round does downrange
Solved from the muzzle figures and the bullet. The dashed rule is the effective range on the record, and the crosses are the steps the solver returned.
No load solved for this record yetThe flight path is computed from a cartridge and a bullet. This record has no ammunition filed against its chambering, so there is nothing to solve.
