The Hämmerli 203 is a Swiss .22 Long Rifle semi-automatic target pistol, part of the Hämmerli International 200 series built in Lenzburg under a Walther license and derived from the pre-war Walther Olympia design. The blowback-operated pistol features a long fixed barrel with a double-vent muzzle compensator, removable barrel weights, an adjustable micrometer rear sight and walnut target grips, and feeds from a 10-round detachable magazine. It was built for 25-metre precision and standard-pistol competition during the 1950s.
Hämmerli built its International target pistols on the Walther Olympia design licensed from Carl Walther, pairing Swiss match-grade fit with a proven German blueprint that had dominated pre-war Olympic rapid-fire shooting.
Often marked 'Hämmerli-Walther'. The 200 series International pistols were manufactured roughly 1952-1958; the 203 corresponds to the 1958-type configuration. Documented weight (~38 oz) may include factory barrel weights.
