The Kel-Tec KS7 Gen 2 is the second generation of Kel-Tec's compact single-tube bullpup pump-action shotgun. Chambered in 12 gauge with a 3-inch chamber, it holds 6+1 rounds of 3-inch shells or 7+1 of 2.75-inch shells in a 26.1-inch overall package built around an 18.5-inch barrel. The bullpup layout places the action behind the trigger for carbine-length handling with full-length-barrel ballistics, and spent shells eject downward for ambidextrous use. The Gen 2 refines the platform with improved ergonomics and a redesigned five-slot Picatinny-style rail molded into the forend.
Kel-Tec built its reputation on bullpup shotguns with the dual-magazine KSG; the KS7 stripped the concept down to a single tube for a lighter, simpler home-defense gun, and the Gen 2 keeps that minimalist ethos while modernizing the furniture.
Manufacturer lists unloaded weight at approximately 6.1 lbs; some retailer listings cite 6.8 lbs. The KS7 uses a single magazine tube, distinguishing it from the dual-tube KSG bullpup. Length of pull is approximately 13 inches.
