What it is, and why it matters
The Kel-Tec KSG-25 is an extended-length variant of the KSG bullpup pump-action shotgun, introduced in 2017. It chambers 12-gauge shells and stretches the KSG concept with a 30.5-inch (775 mm) barrel and a pair of side-by-side tubular magazines that each hold 12 rounds of 2.75-inch shells, giving a total capacity of 24+1 rounds -- or 20+1 with 3-inch shells, and up to 40+1 when loaded with sub-2-inch Minishells. Despite the long barrel, the bullpup layout keeps the overall length to just 38.25 inches (972 mm). A three-position selector switch beneath the pistol grip lets the shooter feed from either tube or shut both off, allowing different ammunition types to be carried in each. Like the base KSG, it ejects spent shells downward for full ambidextrous use and rides on top and bottom Picatinny rails; it ships with Magpul MBUS flip-up sights.
Loaded with Aguila Minishells, the KSG-25 can stuff 40 rounds into its twin magazine tubes plus one in the chamber -- 41 total -- making it one of the highest-capacity pump-action shotguns ever sold.
The KSG-25 is billed as the highest-capacity pump shotgun of its kind, holding up to 41 rounds total (40+1) when loaded with Aguila 1.5-inch Minishells. Its 30.5-inch barrel wears a fixed cylinder choke and is rated for both lead and steel shot. The measured trigger pull in period reviews was roughly 6 lbs 6 oz. Weight is drawn from the manufacturer's unloaded figure; height and width were not consistently published and are left null.
