The Riley Defense RAK47-C is the company's classic wood-furniture variant of the American-made AKM-pattern rifle, chambered in 7.62x39mm. It pairs a fully heat-treated, mil-spec stamped receiver with a forged trunnion, bolt and carrier, a 4150 nitride 16.25-inch barrel with a 14x1 LH muzzle thread, and laminate or stained-teak wood furniture with a black polymer pistol grip. Standard features include a machined scope-mount side rail, adjustable front and rear sights, bolt hold-open safety lever, bayonet lug and cleaning rod.
Riley Defense builds AK-pattern rifles entirely in the United States from its facility in Fountain Valley, California - a rarity in a market long dominated by imported and surplus-built Kalashnikovs - using forged trunnions, bolts and carriers and fully heat-treated mil-spec receivers.
Base model RAK101. Offered in laminate (RAK47-C-L) and teak configurations and in state-compliant builds (RAK47-C-CA/CO/NJ/NY) which ship with 10-round magazines and feature changes such as a welded muzzle brake or removed bayonet lug.
