Effectively a dressed-up field and small-game rifle, the Deluxe Sporter offers the same reliability and vast aftermarket support as the standard 10/22 while adding traditional sporting-rifle aesthetics.
The Sporter has long been the walnut-stocked 'gentleman's' member of the 10/22 family, chosen by shooters who want the platform's legendary reliability and aftermarket depth dressed in a traditional checkered hardwood sporting stock rather than the plain birch of the standard carbine.
The Sporter has been offered in various forms since the mid-1960s, including checkered walnut and Mannlicher-style full-length stock configurations over the decades.
