Chambered in .308 Winchester, it pairs a heavy Palma match-grade stainless steel barrel with a TriggerTech trigger and a Magpul Pro chassis stock, feeding from detachable box magazines. It is used by law enforcement precision units and competitive long-range shooters.
Surgeon Rifles built its reputation on the 591 short action, a heavily reinforced Remington 700 clone favored by custom precision rifle builders and police marksman programs seeking a drop-in upgrade to the ubiquitous 700 platform.
The 591 action drops into any Remington 700 short-action stock and accepts Remington 700 triggers and feeding systems with little to no modification. Barrel lengths of 20 inches and 24 inches are offered depending on configuration.
