Aero Precision M4E1 Pro Rifle

Aero Precision began as an aerospace machining company in 1994 and moved into firearms components before offering complete rifles under the M4E1 name. As the standard M4E1 became a default recommendation for value-focused AR-15 buyers, Aero introduced the M4E1 Pro to capture shooters who wanted a factory build already fitted with the cold-hammer-forged barrel, ambidextrous controls, and upgraded fire-control group that they would otherwise assemble themselves. The Pro line leaned into the growing demand for ambidextrous ergonomics and night-vision-ready handguards, positioning it as a duty- and competition-capable step up while keeping the accessible pricing that built Aero's reputation for 'punching above its weight class.'

The M4E1 Pro line, introduced by Aero Precision in the early 2020s, was created to bundle the upgrades enthusiasts most commonly add to a standard M4E1 into a factory-complete rifle. The three headline differences over the standard M4E1 are the cold hammer-forged barrel (versus the standard button-rifled barrel), the fully ambidextrous lower receiver with a configurable 45/90-degree safety throw, and the included Pro-grade bolt carrier group and mil-spec ALG trigger. The MOD 4 handguard variant was designed specifically for shooters running night-vision aiming devices, using a seven-sided M-LOK profile with reinforced QD sockets. Because the platform is fully modular, buyers can select from multiple barrel lengths (13.7, 14.5, 16, and 18 inches) and handguard options while retaining the same ambidextrous Pro lower.
