Canik Prime Radian

The Canik Prime Radian represents an unusual factory collaboration between a Turkish firearms manufacturer and the American precision rifle and AR-15 accessories company Radian Weapons. The partnership integrates Radian's RAMJET barrel technology -- originally designed for competition AR-15 rifles -- into a micro-compact concealed carry pistol, effectively bringing competition-grade recoil mitigation to the everyday carry market.

The Prime Radian is built on the same METE MC9 Prime platform that established Canik as a value leader in the striker-fired pistol market, but with the addition of premium Radian Weapons components. The Radian RAMJET barrel uses a proprietary barrel design with integrated compensator ports, while the AFTERBURNER compensator attaches to the barrel and redirects propellant gases to reduce muzzle flip. The Radian-enhanced backstrap provides improved ergonomics and the flared magwell facilitates faster magazine changes. Century Arms serves as the exclusive U.S. importer under the Canik USA brand. The MC9 platform itself evolved from Canik's highly successful TP9 series, which earned widespread acclaim for offering the best factory trigger in the striker-fired pistol market. Canik's parent company SYS operates a NATO-approved, ISO 9000-certified facility that also manufactures aerospace and defense components for Lockheed Martin, Airbus, and Boeing.
