About

What it is, and why it matters

Copy a link to this section

The Feinwerkbau P8X is a single-shot, pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) .177 caliber match air pistol designed for ISSF 10-metre Olympic air pistol competition. Built around a compressed-air cylinder operating at up to 200 bar, it delivers a pellet velocity of roughly 145 to 155 m/s and yields about 160 shots per fill. The pistol features a fully adjustable match trigger with a nominal 500 g release, a continuously adjustable sight line from 330 to 400 mm, and an anatomical grip available in walnut, laminate, or polymer in multiple sizes. It is a refinement of Feinwerkbau's long line of championship 10-metre air pistols.

Feinwerkbau of Oberndorf am Neckar has supplied Olympic and world-championship air pistols for decades; the P8X continues a lineage that includes the C5, C55, P40, and P44 match pistols favoured by elite 10-metre shooters.

A 170 mm short-barrel option is offered alongside the standard 218 mm barrel. Grips are available in walnut, orange laminated wood, and MeshPro polymer across sizes XS through L.

Trajectory

What the round does downrange

Solved from the muzzle figures and the bullet. The dashed rule is the effective range on the record, and the crosses are the steps the solver returned.

No load solved for this record yetThe flight path is computed from a cartridge and a bullet. This record has no ammunition filed against its chambering, so there is nothing to solve.
