About
What it is, and why it matters
The FN Deluxe Mauser is a commercial bolt-action sporting rifle built by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal of Belgium on the Mauser 1898-pattern action. Imported into the United States from 1947, it was offered in grades such as the Sporter Deluxe, Presentation and Supreme Magnum, chambered in popular hunting cartridges including the .30-06 Springfield. It pairs a controlled-round-feed Mauser action made from high-tensile commercial steel with a 24-inch barrel, a five-round internal box magazine and a finely checkered walnut sporter stock.
The FN commercial Mauser action became the gold standard for custom and factory sporting rifles after World War II, prized by gunmakers such as Griffin & Howe for its high-tensile steel and smooth controlled-round feeding.
Mechanically identical to the Browning High-Power bolt-action rifle (Safari, Medallion and Olympian grades), which used the same FN-made commercial Mauser actions. Some 1960s production stocks were salt-cured, leading to corrosion problems on affected rifles.

Trajectory
What the round does downrange
Solved from the muzzle figures and the bullet. The dashed rule is the effective range on the record, and the crosses are the steps the solver returned.
No load solved for this record yetThe flight path is computed from a cartridge and a bullet. This record has no ammunition filed against its chambering, so there is nothing to solve.
