The Kimber 1911 DS Warrior is a double-stack, 2011-style 1911 introduced in 2026 as Kimber's value-priced entry into the high-capacity 1911 market. Chambered in 10mm Auto (also offered in 9mm), it pairs a forged steel slide running Kimber's legacy internal extractor and a bushing-system barrel with a carbon-fiber-and-glass-filled polymer grip module that drives empty weight down to roughly 33 ounces. Every model is optics-ready with an interchangeable optic plate, and the pistol features ambidextrous thumb safeties, a Picatinny accessory rail, aggressive front and rear slide serrations, and a crisp GT Performance trigger.
Kimber aimed the DS Warrior squarely at the price-prohibitive 2011 craze, pairing a hand-fitted double-stack 1911 with a polymer grip module to undercut five-figure custom builds while keeping the legacy internal extractor that defined Kimber's 1911s.
Double-stack (2011-pattern) 1911. The 5-inch 10mm carries 15+1; an LS long-slide 6-inch variant is also offered. The 9mm version uses higher-capacity magazines. Carbon-fiber-infused polymer grip module reduces weight versus a traditional steel-frame double-stack 1911.
