About
What it is, and why it matters
The La Coruña M43 Mauser (Modelo 1943) is a Spanish bolt-action service rifle chambered in 7.92x57mm Mauser. Manufactured at the Fábrica de Armas de La Coruña arsenal, it is a short rifle virtually identical to the German Karabiner 98k, feeding from a five-round internal magazine loaded via stripper clips. It served as the standard Spanish infantry rifle from 1943 until it was gradually replaced by the CETME battle rifle from the late 1950s.
Spain kept the classic Mauser 98 action in frontline service well into the Cold War, producing the K98k-pattern M43 at La Coruña; a handful were later fitted with cheap post-war optics, one of which Ian McCollum of Forgotten Weapons called 'the worst actual military sniper rifle I have ever seen.'
Receivers are typically stamped with 'La Coruña' or the Spanish Air Force eagle. Not to be confused with the earlier M93 Spanish Mauser. A number of M43 actions were later rebuilt into the 7.62mm NATO FR-7 training/reserve rifle.

Trajectory
What the round does downrange
Solved from the muzzle figures and the bullet. The dashed rule is the effective range on the record, and the crosses are the steps the solver returned.
No load solved for this record yetThe flight path is computed from a cartridge and a bullet. This record has no ammunition filed against its chambering, so there is nothing to solve.
