The Ruger American Rifle Generation II Patrol is a 2026 expansion of Ruger's American Gen II bolt-action line, configured for tactical and patrol use. It features a 16.1-inch threaded, bull-contour, cold hammer-forged barrel and a Graphite Black Cerakote barreled action. The black stock is textured with a gray spatter pattern for grip and offers adjustable length of pull and comb height. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable Trigger gives a user-adjustable pull weight between 3 and 5 pounds. The Patrol feeds from AI-pattern detachable box magazines and is offered in 5.56 NATO, 6mm ARC, and .308 Winchester.
Ruger took its budget-benchmark American bolt gun, chopped the barrel to 16 inches, dunked it in black Cerakote, and gave it an AI-pattern magazine well, turning a deer rifle into a do-everything truck gun chambered for the modern 6mm ARC.
MSRP $729 across all three chamberings. The 5.56 NATO model ships with a 10-round magazine. Builds on the American Rifle Gen II platform introduced in 2024.
