About
What it is, and why it matters
The Sako 85 Kodiak is a Finnish bolt-action dangerous-game rifle built on Sako's 85 action with a controlled-round-feed extractor. Chambered for heavy magnum cartridges such as the .375 H&H Magnum, it pairs a stainless steel receiver, bolt, barrel and detachable magazine with a grey laminated hardwood stock reinforced by two cross-bolts. The short, free-floating, cold-hammer-forged barrel carries adjustable open sights and a band-type front swivel, making it a weatherproof rifle purpose-built for hunting large bears and other dangerous game.
Named for the Kodiak brown bear of Alaska, the rifle is marketed as a purpose-oriented tool for hunters pursuing the largest and most dangerous game in harsh, wet climates.
Part of Sako's Bear Series. Offered chiefly in .338 Winchester Magnum (1:10" twist) and .375 H&H Magnum (1:12" twist). Uses a staggered two-row stainless steel detachable magazine and integral dovetail rails for scope mounting.

Trajectory
What the round does downrange
Solved from the muzzle figures and the bullet. The dashed rule is the effective range on the record, and the crosses are the steps the solver returned.
No load solved for this record yetThe flight path is computed from a cartridge and a bullet. This record has no ammunition filed against its chambering, so there is nothing to solve.
