About

What it is, and why it matters

Copy a link to this section

The San Tan Tactical Patrol Series SBR is a short-barreled rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO, offering the duty-grade Patrol Series build with a buttstock under NFA registration. It is available with 10.5-inch, 11.5-inch, or 12.5-inch 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium barrels on a carbine-length gas system tuned for suppressed and unsuppressed fire. Built on San Tan Tactical's fully ambidextrous billet receiver set with the in-house STT Wedge Lock M-LOK handguard, it combines a CMC Triggers Combat Curved 3.5-pound trigger, an STT Duty bolt carrier group with ArmorLube DLC coating and dual ejectors, a BCM MK2 receiver extension, a B5 SOPMOD Bravo stock, and a B5 P23 grip, shipping with a Magpul PMAG and an A2 birdcage muzzle device. As a registered SBR it provides a true buttstock for improved control over the equivalent braced pistol, in a compact, fully ambidextrous duty package.

The Patrol Series SBR is the NFA-stamped sibling of San Tan Tactical's Patrol Pistol, delivering the same compact, ambidextrous duty configuration with a proper shoulder stock for shooters who complete the short-barreled rifle registration.

Patrol Series SBR (NFA short-barreled rifle), ~$1,851-$1,912. Barrel options 10.5"/11.5"/12.5". 4150 CMV barrel, carbine gas, A2 birdcage. STT Wedge Lock rail, CMC Combat Curved 3.5lb trigger, STT Duty BCG (ArmorLube DLC), BCM MK2 buffer tube, B5 SOPMOD Bravo stock, B5 P23 grip, Magpul PMAG included. Lifetime warranty.
